Meet our Team

Chris and Ruth lead our Church, with the PCC and the Church Wardens.

Peter started coming to St John’s when he moved to Mansfield from London in the 1970’s. Although the church was in vacancy (ie had no vicar) at the time, he found people eager to follow Jesus. Through the ups and downs of life since then, this has continued to be the case. Living on Ladybrook estate, he is now church warden covering the St Mary’s part of the church on Ladybrook. Apart from responsibilities for the building and regular services, he is trying to help with reaching out into the community both young and old, through Ladybrook Lighthouse and Free To Be respectively.

Steph moved to Mansfield in 2018 for an active retirement. She thought what better way to keep herself busy then to volunteer as a Churchwarden. She is loving being at the heart of the life of the Church, she is really enjoying being involved with such a welcoming and dedicated worshipping community. Steph loves talking to new people so if you see her in Church she would love it if you went over say hello. 

Jake is the Curate at St John’s with St Mary’s, providing support wherever it is needed as he learns more about ministry. Jake is married to Sarah. Sarah and Jake have both grown up in Mansfield and were married in St John’s. They have both been involved over the years and now are part of the team in an official capacity. They have a two daughters, Lillia and Elissa, who keep them both very busy.

Kenny is the Verger for St John’s with St Mary’s.

Val is the Church Administrator for St Johns with St Marys.

Judith is our designated safeguarding lead.
